2021 Spring Into Auction

Our 2021 VIRTUAL Spring Into Auction – “The One Where We Went Virtual” will start on Sunday, February 21.  This online silent auction will be active until Saturday, February 27.  You will have the opportunity to bid on a multitude of items as in previous years.

We will also replace Father’s Wallet with Fr. Troy’s Giving Tree. You have the opportunity to purchase one (or many!) virtual “envelopes” costing from $1-$100 each.  For each “envelope” you purchase, you will receive a prize. It could be a coupon, gift card, meat bundle or cash!   What will be in your envelope?

Of course, this yearly auction is only possible with your generous donations.  Please consider giving your time and/or talents by donating an item or service to our silent auction. Items donated in the past include: gift cards, experiences, baked/canned goods, lawn work, gift baskets, services, quilts, jewelry, lessons, etc.

To submit a donation, please visit https://one.bidpal.net/stmarysia2021/welcome and click on “Donate Auction Items” and fill out the form!  The auction committee will be notified of your donation and will get it entered on our silent auction site!

NCYC Survey

NFCYM is moving ahead with planning for a gathered event in November, 2021.  Our diocese (and parish) would like to  gauge the interest of families with this short survey.

Consecration to St. Joseph

Men and women in our parish are invited begin the process of consecration to Saint Joseph by way of Father Donald Calloway’s recently-released book. The 33-day preparation will be offered in small women’s and men’s groups and makes for a great way to grow closer to Christ by better living the virtues of Saint Joseph, especially during this time marked by COVID-19.
Although the consecration process can be started at any time, both groups will be offered virtually (via Zoom) starting January 7. Groups meet each week for an hour and will be led by Monica and Lynn Harter from Oskaloosa.
Please register for the small groups by December 18 so that we know how many materials/books to purchase. Spouses can use the same book but will meet in their respective groups. The registration form allows spouses to register at the same time.

Public Masses Resume!

Did you hear the great news? Public Masses will resume in the Davenport Dioceses on Monday, June 22, 2020. We are very excited to welcome everyone back to Mass. However, this must be done safely. Please see the document, ‘How To Sign Up for Mass,’ for a step by step guide.

Every household wishing to attend a Mass of Sunday will have to follow the set-out guidelines in order to reserve a seat. You are welcome to attend your normal Mass of Sunday, be that at Pella or Oskaloosa. Due to the limited number of seating available, we are asking that each household only sign up for one Mass a month at this time.

Weekday Mass will also be resuming with a new schedule.

                • Tuesday – 8 am, SMO
                • Wednesday – 12:15 pm, SMP
                • Thursday – 7 am, SMO
                • Friday – 8:30 am, SMP

At this time you do NOT need to sign up for weekday Masses. This may change in the future, as there are a limited number of seats available.

Our first Masses of Sunday will be offered on June 27th and 28th. The Sign up for all Masses of Sunday for the month of June and July will open on Monday, June 22. Please read the included document to find out more about signing up via the internet or by calling the parish office.

We all look forward to welcoming you back to Mass at St. Mary’s!
